Football career of Steven Heyer

Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia on January 16, 1984, Stephon Heyer plays as an offensive tackle player in football. He is a fifth year senior and ended his career as an All ACC performer where he was a three-year starter playing in the offensive tackle position. Heyer has started thirty-seven games as the left tackle and has played for the Aina team during the 2007 Hula Bowl tournament. A graduate from Brookwood High school,Steven Heyerhad not played football until his freshman year. During the period between being a freshman to becoming a senior, Stephon gain one hundred pounds while increasing his height by six inches.

The year 2006

  • He earned a mention in the All-ACC performer after starting thirteen games at left tackle
  • Selected to the ESPN.com All-Bowl team because of his excellent performance in the Champs Sports Bowl
  • Opened holes for Keon Lattimore and Lance Ball who ran seven hundred yards each

  • During the 2005 Red shirt junior season, he was unable to play after being injured and tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in the left knee during the first week of the fall camp

  • Came second in the team scoring eighteen big blocks
  • Participated in fifty-nine plays without being called for a single penalty
  • Led the team with seventy-seven plays and tied for the team by scoring three big blocks

As a sophomore in 2003

  • Started all thirteen games playing as left tackle
  • Completed the season with offensive line?s second highest composite grade
  • In seven hundred thirty-seven plays, he scored twenty-four big blocks and was called for only two penalties
  • Received TERPS? highest grade offensive lineman
  • Did not miss any assignments in seventy plays and finished with two big blocks

Freshman man year (2002)

  • In one hundred seventy eight plays, Steven Heyer was called for only two penalties while posting seven big blocks
  • Played in nine snaps and posted strong composite grades within limited action
  • Debut in his career as the left tackle player and received very high grades
